"I have loved you with an everlasting love...And I know the plans I have for you says the Lord"
Jeremiah:29-31
I have been reflecting a lot on the state of our country. The riots, the way we are handling covid-19, the media and its effect on our Behavior and mental\emotional well-being... while praying morning prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours I came across this beautiful song and these passages touched my heart. Psalm 85 I will hear what the Lord God has to say, a voice that speaks of peace, peace for his people and his friends and those who turn to him in their hearts. His help is near for those who fear him and his glory will dwell in our land. Mercy and faithfulness have met; justice and peace have embraced. Faithfulness shall spring from the earth and justice look down from heaven. Peace is one of the 12 fruits of the Holy Spirit. It is a fruit that all Christians should cultivate and practice in their daily life. "I will hear what the Lord has to say" is the first sentence In this passage. What voices are we listening to that is affecting our ability to be at peace both within ourselves and with others? If we are listening to forms of entertainment, news or other voices that distract us from God's voice and his desire for us to live in peace shouldn't we look at what we are taking within ourselves that is causing Discord and a lack of peace? |

I'm not really a writer, but it's on my long list of aspirations to become one. The first on the list is to become a great Saint! My hope is to share knowledge and inspiration as we walk together during our pilgrim journey on earth and guide each other, hand in hand to the gates of Heaven...
