About
My name is Catherine Ranum and I am an Oblate of St. Benedict and Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for the Spiritual Life. There is nothing more exciting to me then the spiritual life. It is the greatest Adventure anyone can undertake. I've read about and practiced many different religions including Buddhism, Wicca, Gnostic Christianity among others. To my great surprise I have found my home in the Catholic Church. After a very unexpected and initially unwanted conversion experience in March 2012, I found My Heart's Greatest desire and it was Jesus in the Eucharist. Upon being received and confirmed in the Catholic Church, I began to experience a tremendous amount of emotional healing of old wounds and patterns of behavior that I had never experienced in any other religion or psychological counseling.
My outlook on life and my relationships improved, my fears and anxieties lessened and I see God in all things and in all people. It's like Saint Paul said do not conform yourself to the ways of this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. This is possible!
It is my hope this website may be a source of inspiration and renewal in your own life.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about your own faith journey, it would be an honor to speak with you.
