"I have loved you with an everlasting love...And I know the plans I have for you says the Lord"
Jeremiah:29-31
This is one of my favorite passages in the book of Hebrews. It articulates some of the beautiful virtues we are called to cultivate as Christians; Hospitality, Charity, Chastity, Trust in the Lord etc...
What truths, images, words stand out for you when reading this passage? What does it mean that at times you may unknowingly entertain angels? What would that be like? What angels Have you unknowingly entertained? What does it mean to be a prisoner? How does it make you feel to know that the Lord is your helper? Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have unknowingly entertained angels. Be mindful of prisoners as if sharing their imprisonment, and of the ill-treated as of yourselves, for you also are in the body. Let marriage be honored among all and the marriage bed be kept undefiled, for God will judge the immoral and adulterers. Let your life be free from love of money but be content with what you have, for he has said, I will never forsake you or abandon you. Thus we may say with confidence: The Lord is my helper,/ and I will not be afraid./ What can anyone do to me? Remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The word of the Lord. |

I'm not really a writer, but it's on my long list of aspirations to become one. The first on the list is to become a great Saint! My hope is to share knowledge and inspiration as we walk together during our pilgrim journey on earth and guide each other, hand in hand to the gates of Heaven...
